I'm in the midst of debating whether to purchase a pair of PK2 and transplanting the drivers into a battered pair of Sony MDR-E484.
I've found E484 shape to be the most comfortable earbuds for me. And being encased in cermic shells, I also find E484 to be the least hollow of the earbuds I've heard. Though I can't comment on the newer titanic/alloy/composite shells used by other brands.
PK2 cups are plastic so I wonde if it may benefit by encasing the drivers in E484's cermic shells.
However, PK2 cups are "fuller/deeper" than the E484, I'm not sure whether it is to accomodate the drivers or for acoustic purposes.
Thoughts anyone?
