Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone out there has listened to the new highly touted Cambridge Azur 740c yet?
If so, what were your impressions of it?
If so, what were its greatest sonic strengths and weaknesses?
How does it compare to others in its price range?
Thanks!

I've had the Azur 740C now for a little over two months, and it's growing on me... definitely a step up from my C521BEE. The upsampling technology using the Analog Devices DSP and the Anagram Technologies software seems to do its job well... clean, detailed, liquid high end that is never harsh and a full, tight bottom end that's never mushy. Using it as a 24 bit/192 Kbps out upsampling DAC with a TOSLINK connection from my laptop also works very well. I haven't had the opportunity to compare it with other CDPs at its price point, but I am finding it a very enjoyable listen with my GS-1 and K701's.
