I had an NOS pair few month ago. Sold mine to Fitz.
They are nice headphones, but a bit bassy and muddy to me. I got them because of my hope that they will have good soundstage ability. The dual drivers do create a nice wide sound stage, but not very detailed. If you want to play with EQ you can make them sound nice. Midrange is very warm and engaging as well, nice headphones for late nice relaxed listing, but as i said before not my cup of tea.
They go for around $70-$110 depending on condition. Never had K240...
sorry, only now found this. I own a pair. had it for, hm, a decade and a half and still like them. they are good on bass and soundstage, not great on fine-grained detail but pleasant. and I can wear them for a long time, which I cannot with my IEMs (some days I can't bear them at all). I'd compare some of the characteristics of the parabolic AKG to Stax but they don't have the high-resolution detail that you can get with higher-end cans today. - no idea about current price, I just kept these because they're comfy...
