The soldering connections are still solid, just the casing came apart :\
Does anyone know if Monster's warranty is transferable at all? If not, I guess they can be recabled pretty easily if needed.

No, the warranty is not transferable -- and isn't with most companies. I always laugh when people sell their stuff and state they have the receipt.

no biggie, they sound fine, I might recable them with DIY cables sometimes down the line.
