The mod in the video is not really any different that the mods that are documented on this forum in the Fostex T50RP thread.  Even in the comments on YouTube for the video, there are references to BMF, which is BlueMonkeyFlyer.  He has documented his build process to a high degree in the forums here.  Sure, the YouTube video is an interesting 16-minute way to get an overview of the modification process in general.  However, I did notice that it skipped a few steps such as when the baffle was removed from the cups, the white driver paper over the back of the driver was already removed.  I can understand that one only has 16 minutes for the video, but the video was clear about where to place the plasticine clay, but one going through the modification process for the first time, would get tripped up on the white paper issue if they didn't have an understanding of it.

Additionally, the current BMF mod suggests keeping the white driver paper in place.  However, as one carefully reads through the thread on the modification process, some great contributions made were made by many members.  Those inputs include modification variations which have moved forward with the removal of the white driver paper.  There really is no 100% fool-proof modification to simply follow.  Even BMF will indicate that each build will yield different results even though the same build process might be followed with the same materials by the same individual.  This is why BlueMonkeyFlyer has pointed out the need for additional tuning to occur once the actual modification of the headphones has been completed.
