Hi all, EQ/DSP noob here curious to start tinkering. My source is a DAP (so I don't need a dac), I only listen to headphones, and I already have amping covered, so I'm thinking of the minidsp 2x4 ($95). But I only need one output and no bells/whistles, so is that my best/cheapest option?
From what I gather, the way it works is I'd initially set up the EQ profile at my computer using the minidsp's firmware/plugin. The mdsp device would then remember my settings and apply them whenever I include it in my chain (correct me if I'm wrong). But how would the chain be:
DAP→amp→mdsp→HP
or
DAP→mdsp→amp→HP ?
