but in reality it is not about bar-b-q in the back yard with family and friends but to honor those who have payed the ultimate sacrifice in defense of thier nation so the abve is kinda selfish on my part

guess i will just take an umbrella to the parade and monument ceremonies,if it were a bit nicer fleet week would have been nice

I too am thankful for the sacrifices of all those who died so that this country has remained free and strong, still a good place for even for little things like happily celebrating holidays.

There's a big vietnam memorial near the zoo that I'll probably go to tomorrow. I don't have any relatives that died in the war, but I can still honor those that did. Then later on, I'll have a bbq in the park with charcoal! I'm a real charcoal fiend, can't beat the taste.
