I own the Sir Neville Mariner version.. not too bad.

listening to good old ludwig v.. at least the clockwork orange'd version of him

The one and only one I listen to these days is the Levin Edition as conducted by Charles Mackerras on Linn Records. Get the SACD/Hybrid - you can not go wrong with this version (believe me - I own about 20 versions).
