i had been a big fan for

1. A8
2. er6i
3. UM2
4. er4p
5. HD580
6. ipod 3rd generation
7. 100GB of wav files in my computer
8. a number of DAC and speakers


when i am a beginner, i used to set volume up at a very dangerous level

, and that's why the capability of my ears are greatly reduced over just 2 or 3 years.

now i really need to sell my gears
to do the very last thing i can do to safe my ears.

please, do not put excessive load on ur ears.

argh, what a pain.
now i can't even tolerate people talking to me loudly.

please do not wait till the last minute and feel regret like me.


i do think i will put some of my gear here for sale later, check that out by that time.

Sorry to hear of your plight. You are not alone on this forum in experiencing hearing damage. There are several threads dealing with hearing difficulties, mostly tinnitus, however many of these difficulties stem from the combination of excess volume and headphones. I too suffer ear problems as a result of my ignorance of how easily ones ears can be damaged and my tendency to crank up the volume using IEMs or headphones. I hope that others will read and respond to your warning or in time it truly will fall on deaf ears.

have you seen a doctor to rule out other possible causes like an ear infection or drug side effect?

prolonged use of pain killers like vicodin can hurt your hearing, for example.
