I am looking into the HA-1 MKII - some say it is very similar to the Headfive. Can anyone offer opinions about the synergy with the MS2i, and any opinions about the amp as well? I am looking for my first amp, and thought this would be a nice place to start. I am looking for something neutral/warm.

I used to own a Corda HA-1 MkII but don't recall using it with the MS2i.

I thought it was a good amp at a great price-point, around US$250, I think. It matched well with different kinds of headphones, including the AD2000, HD650 and RS-1.

Versus some more expensive amps, the HA-1 MkII seemed to lack some details and refinement, but whenever I listened to it I always felt good. It scales up nicely with better sources.

Thanks - that's a good first impression. It's the price range that I can afford right now, and i want to get started listening to something other than the phone-out jacks on my receiver. If it matched well with the RS1, it's likely that the MS2i will be ok, I would imagine.
