Both of these amps get great reviews and are in the same price range. Which do you think pairs up better with the 701's?

-solid state

also, how much of a difference does the dps make for the gilmore?

I'll let you know once I get my replacement pair of 701s (mine are defective) and try episiarch's headfive thereafter as he has both the Gilmore Lite and the Headfive.

recently i tried it with the H5 and it sounded very fine... it doesn't bring those dead cans to life, but it does go a long way. but, my rig different from the very analytical/cold benchmark-glite set upthat Justin had. You could ask Kitaoji who has both and the K701.
