I have installed the 1.43 renderer and It didn’t work through DLNA. It worked through Airplay but obviously I want to use it through DLNA so I revert to 1.41 again. I tried everything but 1.43 didn’t play through DLNA.
By the way the fix to the DSD direct issue is not related to the A26 renderer firmware but to the A26 DAC firmware

Thank you for the Feedback. Is TIDAL Connect instead working? I cannot test it cause we was moving last days. I was asking Gustard for TIDAL connect (A26)and they send me 1.43

I have reinstalled the 1.43 firmware and this time is working without aparent issues. I'm not a Tidal user to try this fw for you, sorry

Hi, I installed firmware 1.43 and it seemed to go very well, but for a few days I have had continuous interruptions both from the NAS and from Qobuz or Tidal, Tidal connect doesn't work.

No idea on MAC addresses, it is crazy and not conforming to the Ethernet standard.

Regarding IP address. Can you assign a static IP address to R26? It can be done at your DHCP server, typically your router, but not every router has such feature. It is made based on the MAC address of the device, but what happen when MAC address is constantly changin? Disaster!

Alternatively there should be a setting in Gustard to assign a static IP address manually.

You were right about this. The fix for DSD direct actually is available now but you have to contact Gustard to get it.

I’m coming from the R26. Only used the LAN input with Fiber media convertors.
Phenomenal! The reason for the switch is that as much as I loved the R26 I didn’t like the DSD 1bit dac. It was too noisy. I use Roon with HQplayer so the A26 and akm chip handles DSD256 waaay better.

Hopefully the above answered that lol! Talking with Jussi (HQplayer creator) there isn’t hardly any network capable DSD direct DACs on the market right now.
All we got are the A26/R26,
T+A SD 3100 HV and SDV 3100 HV, and the ifi iDSD signature and iFi NEO Stream.
