hi everyone. I’m pretty new to higher end audio. I have a Jotunheim with the balanced DAC. I have Aeon Flow Closed, HDxx, and Emu Teaks coming in April. The balanced DAC sounds good to me and I tend to like a brighter more detailed sound. Should my next upgrade be a Gungnir multibit or a higher end headphone?
I’m not trying to rush anything as I just got my Aeons I’m and happy to coast a while with all this newly purchased gear. I’m just curious what the next step should be.
I also have an iDSD BL and have been using its DAC with the Jot for some added warmth for some music.
One caveat is I don’t have many tracks > 256 AAC. I can’t differentiate 256 AAC vs. FLAC on AB testing sites in most cases, but perhaps my system isn’t resolving enough.
Would a Gumby be overkill and I should first decide on a higher end headphone?
