HI,

I'm new to the audiophile world. After spending months lingering around on head-fi I decided to go for a Beyerdynamic dt990 250 Edition(2005).

Coming to the DAC-AMP, I have an audio interface(Line 6 UX1)==>gsp1101(HARMAN digitech)==>BD dt990 250.

I've read that the lowest frequencies on the DT990 have an impedencane of ~400OHM. Will be above setup do justice. If not what should I replace?

I intend to use it for recording, mixing, leisure listening and watching movies. Am I asking too much of this setup?

Budget~200$.

Thanks!!

I say try it. Worst case scenario is that the UX1 headphone jack doesn't have enough power to properly drive the 990. In that case, all you need to do is attach a more powerful headphone amp to either the analog output jacks or the headphone jack of the UX1.

Does JR Audio make a version of ODAC/O2? I found the combo for 169$ :
