Hoping there's a few guitar players among us. I'm just starting (about 10 months now) and currently I have a tiny practice amp for my guitar that has a headphone out that can barely power my 40ohm Beyers, but it gets the job done.
Eventually I'll want to upgrade to a high end guitar amp and most of them do not have any headphone outs as I'm guessing the wattages are too high. Some people have suggested using power attenuators on them that have headphone jacks for 'silent' playing at night. Some of the amps have either emulated or speaker XLR outputs. I'm wondering has anyone tried connecting that output to a headphone amp, and then plugging in headphones that way? Wondering if it'll work.
