Just a quick post to request guidance. For home listening via my Sonos music streamer, I currently use a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50’s which seem to be praised/maligned in equal measure on Head-fi. I have to say I quite like the rather bass heavy presentation (I’m a bass player, so I may be biased). I would like to upgrade my portable listening rig by obtaining a set of IEM’s with a similar sound signature and would be interested in any recommendations. The current set up is Sansa Fuze via line-out to an iBasso T4 and a pair of old Ultimate Ears Superfi.5’s (not EB or Pro). My musical tastes are many and varied, but tend to revolve around a strong bass line (Jah Wobble, Level 42, jazz with bass by Ray Brown, Black Sabbath, Victor Wooten etc etc). From reading through the forums over the last few days, it seems the VSonic GR07 Bass Edition maybe the way to go, but I thought I’d check. Budget is around £100-£150 (USD150 – USD230).
