Not necessarily , for example the CS43198 has a NOS mode.

Thanks. Maybe it is like a few others and is referring to the use of AK chips as since there will be no more! Any AK chip unused would now be NOS!

The "offering more possibilities" logo suggests that they are talking about Non oversampling mode but who knows maybe you are right and it is New old stock!
