Are there any good alternatives to the 24-stepped attenuator for the GSX-Mini? I can’t stand how far apart the steps are on mine, I would like at least 48 steps or a traditional variable potentiometer, but I don’t want to alter the sound much/at all if possible.

The ALPs RK27 is an option from Headamp if you don't want stepped.

I’ve seen some people claim that the alps doesn’t sound as good as the stepped, but it may be worth the convenience of setting the volume where I actually want it.
The other issue is it looks like the PCB is different between the two versions, I’m hoping to find a somewhat drop in replacement that won’t take too much extra modification.

My alps version has the black PCB (low 200s serial number) so I think green was either pre production, or only the first batch or so.
Looking again it does appear that the green pcb has the contacts for the stepped pot so I think you’re completely right. Seems the charges are likely unrelated to the pot.My alps version has the black PCB (low 200s serial number) so I think green was either pre production, or only the first batch or so.
