hello Gsferrari, i would like to make a question to you about the HD595.

do you remember your words "like robots in the desert"???
well, i want to know if that impression was given to you after have listened to
the HD595 with the MG HEAD MKI that you own/ed in transformer output mode.
and if not the mg head, do you remember the equipment you used?
thank you!

I had The following gear:

* Sennheiser HD-595 120 Ohm
* Headroom MAX with Stepped Attenuator
* Rudistor RP5
* Sony SACD source...cant remember the model...mid-fi at best

I heard the 50 Ohm version a little later and it sounded much better. I am still not happy about the build quality though.

do you still own the 595+the mg head?

I never had the HD-595 with the MG Head as far as I can remember. IIRC the MG Head was with me when I had the HD-580 and SR-60.
