Bull! K1000 looks great ANYWHERE. I've seen, worn, and heard them, and I really love the way they look.

I like the look of the new GS-1000, and I think that idea for the "super bowl" pads is one that is long over due.

It will be interesting to see if Grado can maintain the high level of wood workmanship shown in these proto-type models.

They are $50 from TTVJ, and no returns. They do not sound good on other Grados, they suck out all mid and lower end.

If you look at the pictures of the GS-1ks on the Headroom website, the answer is - yes the square cut is used. I agree that I would much prefer the original half circle cut. However, I own a pair of RS-1s that use the square cut, and with proper handling and storage when not is use, I don't have any cord scuffs in that area at all.

I'm sorry, but I think these look silly. I think my HHF-1's look a zillion times better.

Now they may SOUND terrific, but...
