I think I'm going to add a TV to my 2-channel music system.
My CDP is now 10+ years old so I'd be willing to replace it with a DVD player if I could get redbook playback that's on-par with CD-only players. I'm not likely to delve into hi-res digital audio formats (I have a huge vinyl collection for that) and as for picture quality I'm satisfied with what any $129 DVD player delivers.
Is there anything out there that fits the bill? I'd spend up to $1500 or so but less is always better. If not, I'd rather add a cheap DVD player and not compromise my audio.
