I really find the sound from the A70 way better than the hit Sansa Fuze player - and found out today why:
it's using the Wolfson WM8988 as I found out from Zhang965's Nude A70 post @ Archos Forums (not that circled device here
):
Using the Fischer Audio DBA-02 - the sound (compared to the Sansa Fuze) is more balanced: smooth treble (no sibilance), more defined bass with more weight and extension, faithful mids and more open sound - less cluttered.
I recently watched The Social Networking on the A70 and was amazed on the soundtrack by Reznor which consequently won an Oscar
