anyone digging their latest album "Fires in Distant Buildings" ¿

i think it is great so far. It is in incredible change from their first album. They took that sound, but built so much on it. This album is much more involving and epic. and their use of brief electric guitar and then back to the softer folk is done perfectly. it builds, climaxes, falls back, in a similar way to Sigur Ros's Takk....

At first listen. I was dissapointed as I was a huge fan of their early work. However, their latest release is amazing. Once I gave it a chance and put behind their earlier more sparsely instrumented work. Amazing band and awesome evolution.

you were disapointed with "flashlight sessions"?

interesting. which album would you recomend from their early work (or albums if that is the case) ?

i enjoy flashlight sessions for the right time. the lyrics border on being cheezy, but i think they pull it off. and i love it when lyrics are on the edge like that - between being overly emotional and just right.

but i agree, fires in distant buildings is a gorgeous album.
