Hi. I recently noticed a problem with my Grado sr80i's. Whenever I listen to music, some parts seem to phase in and out. I soon realized that this may be connected to the moving of the wire. If I "jingle" the wire, some parts phase in and out. I can't really describe what it is, but despite the fact that the music is playing, it feels like I'm missing a portion of the highs. When I jingle it, the highs return momentarily.

I've had my Grados since Dec. 2009, so it's been quite a while since I purchased them, and I bought them used, so who knows how old they have been.
Is there anyway to fix this, or are my Grados simply going bad? How much would it cost to fix?

It happens..

Send it into Grado, they fix the entire headphone of any faults for the SR-80 models for $25. Doesn't matter what's broken. Shipping is $10.85 if ship them in a flat rate medium box, but I think it's $8 if you go by the weight of the box. You'll get them back in like a week.
