Hello Head-Fi!

I have read many a thread in an attempt to find a general consensus. Unfortunately, being that sound is a very subjective thing, generalizations are far and few. Additionally, most threads discuss the non-i line. I am aware of the difference that the i's bring, so now, I ask you, which is the overall better headphone (including value):

The Sr80i's...
or
The Sr225i's...

I heard that the SR80i has flats now, which makes the difference between them and the SR225i even more apparent.

The new "i" line replaces the bowls on the 80's and 125's with comfies. You only get bowls when you hit the 225i's.

The SR80i might be a better value but if your willing to spend the extra for the SR225i then you should just get that.

The SR-80i and SR-225i sound share the same house sound but the SR-225i is far more refined, detailed, and has much more bass. What I mean is that they may sound the same, but overall the sound is further smoothed with the SR-225i.
