Hello all
wink.gif

After being curious about the sr60 for quite a while I decided to just go for them and try them for myself. The first thing that struck me when I opened the box, was the cable. I know that the grado's don't have the toughest cables around.. but I'm wondering if this is normal:

They seem to be twisted, and that has worried me a bit :x

I will update this topic to express my opinion on the sound later

Perfectly normal, actually. That's Grado build quality for ya.

Well you say unfortunatly, at the moment I say fortunatly. Atleast it's normal and I don't have to worry about it being recabled or w/e. I bought it off a site similar to ebay, and I'm kinda paranoid about these things

First impression on the sound is very positive, probably not the last grado I've bought

Haha i was worried about the same thing about the wires on my sr80s. Actually, maybe even more so as i read the new i line up had better thicker cables than my "vintage" model. I guess it's good to know it's normal on the Grados, but how weak/tough are the cables at the crimped parts? Should i be worried and take extra precautions?

sorry if i'm thread jacking =x

edit: never mind, i posted too slow and falis actually answered my question =P

Is this the same with the higher grado models?
And for the price I paid, I think they're a really good buy

I think they'll go well with my DT-770's.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is the same with all models.

Same deal with SR125 - the outer plastic on mine is double-crimped, like someone goofed and tried again instead of replacing the plastic.
