There priced about the same, and I was wonderign how they compared in sound quality? I listen mostly to metal alt rock.

I think the MS1 is supposed to be less bright and more neutral compared to the SR80.

I havent heard either, but after reading a million reviews and comparisons I am going to get the MS-1's. I listen to a lot of rock/metal as well. Hope this helps
