Hi,

Quick question from relative newbie to hi-end headphone listening. I can get a pair of SR-125's for £50 in relatively good condition. Will this be a worthwhile upgrade over my existing SR-80's or should I try and scour e-bay for SR-225's? My rig is Cyrus cd6 player, pro-ject headbox amp. Thanks for the advice in advance.

I would go for the SR-225, b/c the improvement b/w the SR-125 and SR-80 is too small for me. Get the SR-225 and don't look back. The SR-225 is nearly indentical the SR-325 except the bass region.

Go for the 225. The 125 is a bit bright, the 225 is supposed to be more neutral and should prove more versatile.

thanks for the advice guys, i'll steer clear of the 125s and probably get the 225s (whilst drooling over the rs-1's !).
