wondering if the reddish hue visible indicates potentially the rare and more valuable grado driver in these sr-100s? thanks for any insights.

Nope.
There is another variant with actual red in the driver, but those are called 'black star' drivers due to the star shape in the middle of the driver diaphragm.
My old SR-80 has the same red discolouration in the dust grills.
