I only hear sound on left side of headphone when using grado splitter, what's wrong!?

There are splitters that will break a stereo headphone plug down into a left and right mono plug. I believe that is what augustwest is suggesting might be the case.
*edit* Though from looking at Grado's webpage, it seems they only have one splitter, and its meant to do full stereo splitting... Thus if that's the case, then I can only assume the one that you have is defective. That of course assuming everything else works normally without it.

its suppose to split it so two headphones can listen at same time. only left side on BOTH headphones audible. everything works fine without the splitter. any other reason it's not working besides being defective?

Stupid question, But you're sure you've got the splitter plugged in properly?
