Greetings all -
Brand newbie here to DIY cables but I'm going all in with a number of projects... heres a quick
question regarding one of them.
I've got 6' of blue dragon cable from Moon Audio I'd like to use to re-cable my aging Grado SR-225... The Blue Dragon is a 4 conductor shielded arrangement and I'm curious what ya'll would recommend for this setup.
At the 1/4 plug I'm assuming use 2 conductors tip, 2 conductors ring and ground the shield.
At the Y split... the 2 conductor arrangements split, 2 Left 2 Right... what happens with the shield at the Y?
At the split, how can I assure that I've got the correct conductors going to each can? The conductors have
2 clear, 2 white jackets so color coding is out. Would a quick tap with a multimeter to the 1/4 plug tip / ring and bare
connectors at the Y do the trick?
Thanks very much for any input... I appreciate your help!
Cheers,
-B
