I've managed to source parts and get answers to most of my questions. Now i wait for everything to arrive and my courage to rise to get to business.

I'm in need of a steel inner band for the grado's. Anyone/anywhere stateside to source?

Also, is there a preferred method of bonding the liberated grado driver to the new wooden cup? glue? some sort of bonding compound? Speaking of liberating the driver, there is on tutorial on line that shows an exacto knife being used to liberate the drivers. Looks easy enough. Anyone try it?

Managed to liberate the drivers and apply some dynamat with no collateral damage. had to cut/pry away the outer plastic sleeve. Really need an inner steel band if anyone has one to sell.

the wood cup/ gimbal set I ordered from Rhulopat arrived yesterday (fast). he included a headband.. so this is solved. the cups are slotted.
