I don't think anyone has done a full re-cable, a couple head-fiers have re-terminated the 1/4" jack to XLR plugs for a balance set up.

I likely will at some point, when I have the funds to do so. I'm thinking Cryoparts UP-OCC for mine, probably sleeved and each channel seperately shielded, if i can get away with it without making the whole thing too bulky.

Not sure how much of an improvement it will make, I just hate the stock cable from an aesthetics/ergonomics perspective.

I just purchased a pair yesterday. Thankfully, I already have a 10' Grado extension.

I don't understand why they wouldn't put 10' by default. It's a lot easier for people to have the cable shortened and reterminated than recable it completely.
