So..uh...my HF-1s left driver...has no sound coming out it anymore. Not sure if it's blown or whatever (just stopped functioning). What are my options here? Call Todd up and ask for help? Grado Labs is only about 7 blocks away from my house, should I call up and ask for help?

ARRGH!! I'm sad, my poor HF-1s....

Hi lal316l,

Welcome to the Team "I have a dead left driver in my HF-1"

All jokes aside, just give Grado Labs a ring, and they should be able to repair it for you. At least they did mine with a bit of wait because I live in New Zealand, and all the shipping to and fro took a bit of time.

If you call Todd, he probably would suggest you to send it to Grado straight away to cut down on the wait time.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem (misery loves company

). I suppose I'll try to get in touch with Grado Labs tomorrow and see what happens.

I hooked up with helpful officer Todd for a refund.

No question asked, just give todd or the lab a call. They will take care of you. Well, my reason for return: I didn't like the piercing sound the HF made and lack of bass(IMHO), but that's probably becuase I didn't give it enough burn in(3 hours

). I also didn't have a good source or amp. My source was off my computer, Audigy 2. I didn't have the money for an amp, so I returned them. I think IEM(Thinking 5pro) are best for my situation, and a good source(ordered the X5). I will probably regret returning the HF in a long run when I do get an amp.

Goodluck!

Well that's a shame, you're essentially eliminating a perfectly good pair of HF-1's. You could have had them fixed and then re-sold them.
