At < $7 a pair, I'd suggest that as well. Also, I'm discovering that a set of 414 pads with quarter-sized holes cut in the face sound quite a bit different than pads that have been modded in the vwap style (bigger hole + backside trimmed). The 414's have stronger bass response, perhaps because there is more materiial left on the backside than with the vwaps, plus having to stretch the 414 pads to install causes the material to compress, so density is increased.

People who haven't heard a recabled Senn do most of the debating.

BOT, yes, it's a great cheap mod. $30 is obscene for foam, but you do get a change that is greater than $30 to me.
