Hi guys, I'm planning to make a metal cup for Grado SR60i, can anyone help me out with this? Do I have to remove the drivers from the plastic thing around it? Or just remove the cup and stick the whole thing(driver+plastic thing) to the new cup? What interior diameter would I need for that to fit to the cup? Thanks.

By the way. What would be a nice material to use? Something that's good but not too expensive.

When Grado puts their drivers into different air chambers, the plastic around the drivers remains th same. If you look at pics people send of their Grados, you'll see the same plastic innards, regardless of whether they're in metal, plastic or wood. I have 325i's, RS1's and GS-1000s and they all have that same plastic innard.

I wanna make em wood on metal like on the HF-2.. For now, I'll start off with the cups.
