I move around quite a bit and I often move around even in the house with my headphones on and just walk around with the whole wire and rig wrapped around my neck or arm. This is with the RS1i.

Even when I am sitting down many motions will cause me to touch the wires and the microphonics really is annoying. Almost like nails on a chalk board annoying. Seems to throw a compressed gust of impact type sound into my ear.

I don't have this problem with my UM3x or M-80 cables, why is this? I am thinking it is because of the friction of the rubber shielding compared to the UM3x's smooth shielding and the m80s kevlar shielding. My idea is to just go out and buy a roll of masking tape and wrap it all around this thing but if there is a prettier solution, that would be great.

Your headphone could be defective, not that I would know.  I don't even notice the cable on my SR325is.
