I don't get a chance to enjoy my Grado PS500e's that often, but when I do get a chance to pick them up and play some songs I always end up swearing about the cable. I really hate that thick cable which is a pain to put back in my non-official grado headphone cover/case. The lower part is so damn thick and the thinner parts going to the ear cups is so badly made it feels like it'll brake apart.
Especially where the cable goes into the ear cups. The cups seems to have been driller in advance and at a later date re-drilled to fit the thicker cable. Leaving some sharp edges on the aluminium ear cups, which seem to eat away the isolation around the cable...
Is there somewhere I can send my cans and have the cable replaced to a better one, perhaps a detachable one? I am afraid of bending the cable too much, fearing it'll brake where it bends. The plastic does not seem to be of a higher quality.
