Has anyone else had the problem seen in this (terrible) picture? It would seem that I would have to sent them back because it seems like there is probably a molded plastic pin that goes through the hole in the headband. Please correct me if I'm wrong. http://dekutree.com/CIMG0041.JPG

Hi, everything is ok, in that way you can take off right side and for example change headband, there is no any pin, in all Grados you can take off right side.

What is it that normally keeps that right side from loosening. How do you ensure its security?

Welcome to the club.
Super Glue is your best friend with Grado "high End".
Same isue with my GS 1000.

Do any of you think that it would void the warranty in any way to glue it myself?

Super glue fumes will damage the drivers, for anyone who was planning to try this.

I think he was talking about the headband (I hope).

What you're saying is that the right driver is designed to come off... when you break what I assume is a weak glue seal.

And then what? DIY repairs? That seems kind of shoddy.
