Wondering what all the options are for a replacement headband for my Alessandro MS-1's. I've been considering the RS-2 headbands as well as the Beyerdynamic DT-770 headbands. Question though, will the DT770 headbands fit the MS-1 without the need for structural modification? Also, when people refer to using the DT770 headband, do they mean the pad only or the headband itself?

I'd say get the DT770 pad. It is nice, easy to put on (over the original headband, no modding needed) and cheap! Judging by the pictures, it also seems thicker and softer than the Jmoney headband.

Only complaint I have is that the pad doesn't cover the full lenght of the original headband, but that's not much of a big deal anyway. The improvement in comfort is significant.

The Jmoney headbands looks very nice, but at $40+ I would consider them only if I had a higher end model of Grado/Alessandro. $40 for headband padding on a $100 MS-1 is not justified, IMO.

I had one of those aftermarket lambskin ones advertised in the post above. I bought a used MS2i and the owner included one for free. I much prefer the stock RS/325i/MS2i headband. It is not as soft as the lambskin ones, but it feels a lot more ridged and tough. They also have a bolder look.
