Just a quick one , loving my Grados with my Arcam but a little uncomfortable. Are there new pads I can buy to solve this .

Also, try carefully bending the headband to reduce the gripping force. I've always found Grado bowl pads perfectly comfortable once that's done. You want just enough pressure to keep them from falling off, no more (and that's not much, because the plastic SR models are pretty light.)

i found washing my sr80 pads in soapy water (washing up liquid) softened them up quite a bit. a lot less rougher than when they were new. almost fluffy. you could try that - get a new set and wash the old pair.
