bang for the buck, the sweet spot is the MS-2i. but the cans above that are better, and between them are a matter of taste - but they're all pricier!

This thread should be done again, with any other pair of Grados as a reference. Now it is like comparing the Ferrari line of cars having a Mercedes-Benz as a reference.

Common sense tells me to stay away from a thread like this, as attaching numbers to which is best, is soooo subjective; however I had to comment on the above submission. I realise that this is highly subjective and should be taken with a grain of salt, but the above rating is just not helpful. There is no way that my MS2i is 4 times better than my MS1 and I doubt if anyone would rate the GS1000 as 10 times better than an MS1, however that is what granodemostasa is publishing. I will leave it up to those that read the thread, as to whether you call it credible opinion, or GS1000 Fanboy enthusiasm or unbalanced Grado dislike (particularly at the lower end). It isn't the order I question (granodemostasa is entitled to an opinion just like everyone else) it is the scale that is way out of wack IMHO.

If you ask for numbers, you'd get a bunch of meaningless number. There're so many variables to classify Grado cans.

If you put it to the "everybody should have this" comparison, it's

I think my ratings would mirror this list except I'd drop the RS-1 to 90 and add the HP-2 at 100 (GS-1000, HP-2, PS-1) All difference sounds but a slight league above all other Grados in my list
