Hahah. I just ordered a V5 with AD8397/LM6171 opamps on Monday and by the time it gets here it will already be obsolete.

Oh well. Having a built-in battery charger would've been nice. Now I have to buy one on my own. Kinda wish he had told me about his plans to release a new version. But I'm not mad. He offers his amps at very competitive prices.

Even so, that sucks! I talked to him quite often in the last couple of weeks (asking intensive questions) and NO mention\hint of a new version!! Prolly coulda saved me $300!

Gah!

I thought it was a funny phrase until a peer of my class from England told me what it meant.

remaining GV5 and GV5S are on sale w/ the anticipation of GV6.

i did like the go-vibe sound, and norm said that the GV6 sounds way better, provided there will be a lo-gain option for these, i could be in on those!

I'm sure GV6 is awesome, but at $55 the GV5 is a steal. Building a CMoy will probably run you $25.

I also wonder if the AD8397 is the reason why the sound is improved over the V5. if so, the V5S is a good bargain since you can probably roll a AD8397 anyway.
