Ok guys I just scored a Grado SR 325is which only had 50-60 hrs on it. I was using the Beyer DT880. My dilemma is this......which one do I keep?

The Grado's are much more present but I also like how the Beyer handles the separation and gives a wider soundstage and of course, more comfy. I always thought the Beyer had clarity....until I slapped on the Grados. They are too close to each other to keep both.

PS: I'm demoing the Denon 5000 next week. Never heard them before but I hear good things.

My amp is the Darkvoice 332 running and source is iTouch.

Personally, the DT 880 would win for me on comfort alone. It would also win for being more versatile. But if you listen to crunching guitar rock all the time, I suppose that's not a consideration. I've also never heard either headphone through your particular system and with your particular ears. I kept them both though.

Beyer all the way, especially if your only going to keep 1 can.
