I just got my HD595, I bough from ebay. I check the box, the 50 ohm was printed on a sticker. I think the original box is for 120 ohm version.

Now my question is that is this really a 50 ohm version? I have to turn my ipod volume up to 75% to get the same sound with B&O A8.

Anyone can answer my question?

The easiest way to measure is with a volt/ohm meter. If you have one just measure ohms of resistance at the plug. the value will either be very close to 50 ohms or very close to 120 ohms. I've got an older pair of 595's and they measure 120 ohms as expected.

It's pretty unlikely that you have the 120 ohm version unless it's a used pair originally purchased a year or more ago.
