I received my new headband from Fatman711 yesterday. I sent him a cardboard template and asked him to make me a headband for my Chocolate Donuts. He did a fantastic job. The leather is a dead ringer for the leather on the L3000 pads. I've admired his Grado bands for a while now. If he ever branches out into pads he'll be very busy indeed.

Well they're a real conglomeration Miguel. I used Yamaha YH-100 Orthodynamic drivers, and built a custom wooden housing for them. I used a Beyerdynamic headband/yoke mechanism for the chassis. The pads are Audio Technica L3000 leather pads, and now the custom leather band via Headcoverage.

They sound far better than stock Yamaha YH-100s. The stock headphones weren't properly dampened, and they had an annoying strut that made microphonic clicking sounds. This new design allows for more controlled backwave too via a flared port in the middle of the cup (hence the name donut).
