Hey all!

I got my new toy to play with last week : a mk1 version of the ASL Twinhead. It is the 1-chassis version (without the tube power supply) but still uses 2a3 as output tubes. I didn't have the time to let it warm up and give it a good listen, but right now it does exhibit some hum (gotta mess with the 2 hum pots to reduce it now). I hope I can fix it in the near future. I only listened to it once after a 5 minutes warm-up to make sure everything was clean, and indeed it was okay. I'll report more on the sound later, and will also bring pics as I take some.

Does anyone have some experience with what phones mate well with it?

I have the MKIII version with the tube PS and FWIW it's the best amp I have heard so far, it mates very well with all my headphones (ultrasone ed. 9; JVC DX1000; HD650).
Fixing the hum is an easy task with the hum pot.

Enjoy your amp and let me know how it sounds if you change the 2A3 tubes. I use the Chinese 2A3C for now and I'm pretty satisfied, I prefer them to NOS Westinghouse.
