Got my Ip-od

I use anapod, which allows you a lot more control than itunes, including drag and drop. I can't get used to itunes, although I do like that it will tag, rename, and organize all your music for you.

Congrats! And I agree with keeping that temporary cover on your ipod until the IS comes - the second you take that plastic film off, I swear, random dust will scratch the ipod as it flys by. I lived with that film on the ipod for a week until my IS came!

still waiting for my IS to come, I had to do the first day of the semester silent. My first class was canceled too (snow), so I wandered around aimlessly sans audio, trying to find some friends. But luckily, this cute viet international student that I kept running into needed help working her locker, so I spend a good five minutes showing her how. Ran into her again and helped her find her class (which was sadly across the street). Eh, made my day. Wait, this has nothing to do with portable audio does it?

I need new phones, ibuds stinketh the wanky.

Are you going to grab a hardcase to go with the IS? If you are you can just stick your ipod in the case for now with the plastic still on there until the IS comes.

I've never heard of anyone else complaining the iPod is to thin, but I think it is also. I like substance!

As you can see, adding a hardcase to it can add substance without getting too clunky - and the IS still fits over the ipod in the case, so man, you're super protected! seriously, even the IS'd scrollwheel doesn't have a scratch on it since I put the IS on. I'm still pissed that there are microscratches on the screen dating back to the horrible BSE that used to be on the top, but amazingly the IS actually smooths them over so you can't even see those initial microscuffs after application - the screen looks like crystal!

I wish I could change the background of the player, blad white is annoying. Videos look okay. Sound isn't bad either, definitely has more or a "live" feeling than my old iriver. Oh yeah, the ibuds suck. Muddy with horrible prat. My half-working ksc sounds looks better, and has plenty of bass. God I need new headphones.

Overall, I think I can live with it, I just need time to adjust. Haven't taken it out yet, waiting for my invisibleshield to come.

Try Anapod, I hear it has a drag 'n' drop capability. About the buds, buy you're own? isn't that why you're on this forum?

I'm going to soon.

As for phones, I'm not sure I wanna get some px100s, or buy some cheap canals (er6i, e2, etc) and just send my broken pair of kosses for repair, so I'll have one for each occasion. But to think of it, I had canals before and they were impractical for me, cause I'm *always* talking to someone and constantly pulling em outta my ear is annoying. Damn I write too much.

You have to hold out for those Grado Streetstyles...my KSC-35 are also limping along with nail polish on the joints, but I just have to make it to March, right? Hopefully?

I would jahn, but if they sound like other grados, they'll cause my inner ear to hurt. Still, whenever I see a pair of grados at the mall, I start thinking twice. And why not just buy another pair of kscs and retire the current one? They're's like two in the FS forum right now.

Haha, they sell GRADOS at your mall? That's awesome. They sell..uh...Sony Streetsyles and iBuds and Triports at mine. And there is the Apple Store, where you can get a terrific pair of B&O's for the bargain price of $159. Wootwoot.

I think cambridge soundworks sells some sr-60/80s n mx500s. Other than that, it's the same. Sonys and Bose galore.

Not sure. You think I should? I'm really spending more than I have, so I wanna go barebones. I'm afraid the included "sack" will scratch it up, plus I'd hate having to take it out over and over. Eh, looks like the IS ain't coming today . . . the ip-od seems quite sad doing bedroom duty.

I swore i wouldnt buy anything at cambridge soundworks after this discussion (i was shopping around for headphones, pre-headfi):
I walk into the store, make eye contact with the guy at the desk
Me: Where do you keep your headphones?
Employee: *Sarcastically* Usually in your ears
Me: *Looking around* Ok, i see them over there. Is there anyway i can listen to some of them?
Employee: Yea, you can buy any ones you want.
I walked out at this point, without any further conversation. For reference, the guy behind the desk was rather fat, had that "I hate the world" expression on and was reading when i walked in.
From now on my business stays away from cambridge soundworks.
Anyway, aside from my bitching, around here, there really isnt anywhere that i know of that sells decent headphones. Tweeter sells px250's, but i dont want noise cancelling, when i could get better phones for less (hence my hd201's).
