I finally got my Beyerdynamic Dt770-80 ohm Pros

I love these cans !!! They fit great. Great bass ! Mid range somewhat
recessed but still great. The highs aren't ear splitting which is cool.

I got 'em on ebay. Paid $250 with duty
I called one store I think for these he said they cost 400 or was the dt 900

The Total Airhead amp doesn't give it enough thump, but it is ok
I want to get XM5

Congrats. But $250 seems awfully expensive, they are frankly cheap headphones in comparison to others, sub $100 dollar cans now.

The only place I have seen the DT770 for under $100 is the refurbed units on eBay. I agree $250 is high - but depending on where the OP resides, that might be a deal if it includes shipping, duty, etc. Where have you seen them new for $100 USD?

Montreal Canada
They are new with waranty. Going cost $150+25 USD shipping and insurance
$20 CDN customs.

I asked a store what they would cost. That is what they quoted
I thought I got a good deal.

I plan to get the Grado GS1000 in the summer, if I am lucky. Cost here is $1200 CDN

If you use search, a lot of people have gotten themselves DT770s brand spanking new for under $100

I bought a pair of cheap headphones in May and they broke within 2 weeks the cable crapped out. Even with the replaced it crapped out, so I chucked
'em I paid $60.

That would be $125 CDN . So I paid $25 more for em.
Looking on the web I see 'em going between 180-269 US
The last price at amazon.com and they say that is the sale price !
