Well after weeks of debating with myself i ordered a pair of er6i's yesterday and they arrived this morning. Here's my thoughts on them so far.

I bought these to replace my e2's and after a brief listen i dont think i'll regret it.

Build doesnt seem quite as sturdy as the shure's but will do the job ok.

SQ is amazing, listened to 2 tracks on my nano, The Wedding Present's Dont Touch That Dial and Malcolm Middletons The Choir from his new album.

Listened to each track with each pair of phones and found that the er6i's provide more detail in the treble and a more subtle sound on the bass. Dont get me wrong the shure's are good but the bass seems to overpower the detail of the treble imo.

The er6i's also seem to be a more comfortable fit using the foam plugs.

Excuse my lack of technical terms but hope this may be useful to anyone thinking of buying the er6i's.

Thanks for taking the time to post your impressions. It's always nice to hear a fresh perspective than hearing the same people (including me) post their opinions over and over again.

Maybe I'm completely insane, but I found that my ER-6i's didn't REALLY get good until I wore the triflanges in for a month. Then, getting the perfect seal became effortless and the phones became extremely easy to get in and out. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

i've tried four different kinds of sleeves and the foamies always give me the best seal. they're also the easiest to get in, IMO...but if the tri-flanges work for you, that's great.

Great impressions. I'm in the same situation as you were in. I have the e2c's and dislike them and regret buying them, they're ok don't get me wrong but just not my sound. I have friends who have them and they love them. Goes to show that earphones/headphones sound different for everyone. I plan on getting the er6i's soon and its just good to hear positive impressions coming up from the e2c's.

e2 or e1/3/4/5 ones? I have e2c ones here right now, and my er-6is are coming in probably next week, and wonder if these fit.

Sounds good, I jumped on that Amazon deal for them so I should be getting them anyday now. I'm interested in how they will sound. I've never tried an IEM before.

I just ordered these too. My AKG's aren't very portable and there is no way I would ever go back to iPod buds. Can't wait til they arrive!

I was unimpressed with mine at first. Down right disappointed in fact. Then, I discovered the foamies. HUGE difference because I actually got a good seal. Now, after a month, they sound so much better. I am completely satisfied with the sound. I agree that the build quality could be bit better. I am always scared I am going to snag that thin cord on something and ruin them. ENJOY!
